My Roles and Responsibilities

Reyna is a content writer who takes the unstructured and componentized content provided by her subject-matter experts and authors it into long-form components and completed documents, guided by the content models created by Doug the content architect and Sofía the graphic designer.

When she has versions of content ready, she will share it for collaboration with her reviewers and stakeholders in a series of cycles to enable her to reach a final approved version that is readable, structured accurately and meets global compliance and corporate regulations.

Having a consistent structure and brand compliant template to write in, with the option of using Microsoft Word or a Web browser
Writing components of content in the same way as regular content which can be easily reused without having to learn XML, DITA or schema architecture

Consequences Of Doing Nothing

Reyna and her co-authors would continue to face formatting and style issues whenever they are writing content. This causes stress and slows them down. These issues root from not having standardized, compliant design templates and content models as guides, leading to inconsistent documentation that’s confusing for consumers.

The untrustworthy copy & paste procedures associated with updating content, combined with insufficient and uncollaborative review processes, mean business-critical content may well be published without full scrutiny and stakeholder approval.
